Best & Tasty Shami Kebab Meat Patties Recipe
1/2 lbs ground meat (Keema)
4 cups water (Pani)
1 cup split chick peas (chana dal)
2 black cardamoms
12 black pepper corn
4 cinnamon sticks
8 dry red chilis
Salt to taste
2 green chills
1 1/2 tablespoon ginger
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 cup cilantro chopped
Oil for frying
In a pan add the meat, water, split chick peas, black cardamoms, cinnamon sticks, black pepper corn, cumin seeds, red chillis, salt, sliced ginger, chopped garlic, and sliced onion. Cover the mixture to boil. Reduce the heat and continue to cook it until all the water has evaporated and the meat is tender.
Remove the pan from the heat and keep aside to cool. Grind the meat twice throughly. Add the chopped green chillies, chopped green cilantro and chopped onion to the mixture. Shape the dough into small round flattened kababs.
Heat the refined oil in a pan, dip the kebab into egg and then fry the patties until they turn a golden brown. Remove and drain the excess oil on paper towel and serve with ketchup.
