Top Secret Olive Garden Pasta E Fagioli Italian Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups ditalini pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 pound ground meat
3 cloves garlic minced
1 onion diced or chopped
3 carrots peeled and diced
2 stalks celery diced
3 cups chicken broth
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup water
Cheese to garnish
DIRECTIONS:
In a large pot add oil, after 1 minute add onions, garlic, carrots, celery, tomato paste, diced tomatoes. tomatoes sauce, ground meat, chicken stock and spices. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender, about 25-35 minutes. Stir in pasta and beans and water if needed. Cook for another 15 minutes and serve immediately with some cheese to garnish.
