Clean and wash meat. In a pot add water, add all whole spices, salt, garlic, ginger, onion, meat pieces and cover and let the meat cook for about 40 minutes. In a separate pan heat oil over moderate flame and fry onions and add cumin seeds.
Once meat is cooked drain stock and separate the meat pieces. Reserve stock separated until is needed. Add these meat pieces to the onions mix, add ginger garlic paste and fry for about 5 minutes. Now add all the dry spices and reserve stock. Once first boil add rice and cook for 2 minutes and then cover rice. Cook for 20 minutes on low heat until rice is well cooked. Serve hot with salad.
