Vegan Bottle Gourd meatballs Lauki  Koftas Sabzi Recipe


2 cups grated bottle gourd (lauki)
¼ cup gram flour (besan)
Salt to taste (namak)
½ teaspoon turmeric  (haldi)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder (lal mirch)
¼ teaspoon 7 spices (garam masala)
1 tablespoon coriander powder (ghania)
Oil for deep frying (teal)
1 onion, finely chopped (pyaz)
1 tablespoon ginger paste (adrak)
1 tablespoon garlic paste (lehsan)
2 tomato finely chopped (tamater)
3 tablespoon cilantro leaves finely chopped (sabz dhania)
1 cup bottle gourd water (lauki pani)
1 cup water


Firstly peel and grate gourd add salt squeeze well to take the water in a cup. Reserve water and grated gourd. Add in gram flour and salt and pepper mix well and prepare meatballs. Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry meatballs and drain and set aside.
Now in a pan add some oil and then onions, garlic, ginger and stir for 2 minutes. Add in  tomato, rest of the dry spices, gourd water and cook. Cook until tomato are blend into the mixture and then add water. Follow by the fry meatballs. Cook for 10 minutes and transfer the gravy to a serving bowl and garnish with cilantro. Serve with bread.
