Keema Samosas Minced Meat Patties Recipe


1 1/2 cup minced meat
1 large onion chopped finely
1 cup frozen or fresh peas
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon 7 spices powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon ginger minced
1 tablespoon garlic minced
2 tablespoon tomato paste
Salt to taste
1 bunch of fresh cilantro chopped (optional)


1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon carom seeds
3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil


Cooking Meat:
Add oil to a pan and place chopped onions and fry for few minutes and then add your minced meat. Add ginger, garlic, powder spices, tomato paste,  and half of cup of water mix well and let it cook. Once water has been evaporated then add your peas. Cover and cook peas until tender.

Now for dough:

To make dough with the flour,  add 3 tablespoons oil, carom seeds, sugar and salt. Mix well and then gradually add water to make stiff dough. Once you have desired dough then cover it with wet paper towel or cloth and set aside for 30 minutes.

Making samosas:

Make medium sized balls of this dough. Roll dough thinly into oval shape and then cut it into halves. Make triangle cones and stuff it with meat stuffing. Then seal the edges with the flour paste or water. Make samosas with the rest of the dough. Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the samosas till golden brown. Serve hot with mint chutney (please see my other recipe for chutney).
