Chicken Shami Kebab Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup chickpeas lentils soaked
Directions:
In a pot add water, chicken, dry spices powder, whole dry spices, salt, garlic, ginger, dry chilies, chickpeas lentils. Cook until the chicken is cooked and take the chicken pieces out of water and set aside. Once the chicken is cold take half of the chicken and shredded into think pieces.
Once the lentils are cooked increase the heat and dry off any excess moisture. Allow this mixture to cool completely. Then grind the mixture until smooth with rest of the chicken and onions.
Add the mixture into a bowl, add chopped cilantro, green chilies and the shredded chicken . Give everything a good mix. (If it feels too runny add 1-2 tablespoon of a breadcrumbs and mix). At this point you can make patties and refrigerate or even freeze the mixture until needed ready to fry.
Beat the egg and dip the kebab patties into the egg and fry in a pan. Turn each side when is golden brown take the kebabs out. Serve with hot green chutney or ketchup will work 😉
