Falafel Recipe

Falafel Recipe

• 2 cans chickpeas

• 1 cup chopped parsley

• 1 onion chopped

• 5 cloves garlic chopped

• 1 cup oats flour

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

• 1 teaspoon coriander powder

• 1 teaspoon cumin powder

• 1 teaspoon black pepper

• Salt to taste

• Oil

First take the oats and roughly chops them into powder. Now in the same chopper add the chickpeas, chopped onion, garlic cloves, parsley, coriander, cumin, salt, pepper and chili powder into a food processor. Process all ingredients together until you get a rough mixture. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl and add the oats powder.

Now between the palms of you hands, roll small portions of the falafel mixture to form falafel balls. Heat the oil in a deep pan and start adding the balls into the oil. Fry falafels until golden brown.

When all the falafels are cooked, transfer your falafels to paper towels to absorb the oil. Serve falafel with some pita bread and hummus.
