Potatoes Hash Browns Recipe
1-2 pound sweet potato peeled and grated
1/2 grated onion
4 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
Oil or butter for frying
Melt 3 tablespoons of oil/butter in a pan on medium high heat. I grated sweet potatoes add grated onion, spices, dill, egg, flour, and mix well.
Scoop 2 large spoonfuls of grated sweet potatoes into the pan forming small patti and add it to pan. Cook undisturbed until they are nicely browned on one side, about 4 to 5 minutes, then carefully turn them over with a metal spatula to brown on the other side, 4 to 5 minutes more. As you finish the patties, remove them from the skillet and allow them to cool for a few minutes on a paper towel plate and serve with fry egg.
