Minced Meat with Potatoes Keema Aloo Recipe
Serving: 4 to 5 persons
Ingredients
1 lbs minced meat (keema)
2 potatoes cut in small pieces (aloo)
1 cup tomatoes chopped (tamater)
1 onion sliced (pyaz)
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Zeera)
1 teaspoon coriander powder (Dhaniya)
1 tablespoon salt or to taste (namak)
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (Haldi)
½ teaspoon chili powder (Lal Mirch)
1 tablespoon ginger paste (Adrak)
1 tablespoon garlic paste (Lehsan)
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
½ cup plain yogurt
6 tablespoons oil
3 green chilis
Cilantro for garnish
Directions:
Heat the oil in the pan and add cumin seeds and add finely slices/chop the onion and sauté in oil until light brown. Add all the spices, garlic, ginger and stir for 1 minute then add minced meat and cook for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes to the meat and cook for 10 mintues and then add yogurt and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes and then add water and potatoes. Cover the pan and cook till the potatoes are soft. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and green chilies. Serve with naan or rice.
