Gulab Jamun Recipe

Gulab Jamun Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup powder milk

1/2 cup all purpose flour

8oz heavy whip cream

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

20 blanched almonds slices

2 cups of water

2 cups of sugar

5-6 green cardamom

Directions:

In a pan add water green cardamom and sugar. Stir the water till the sugar dissolves and water starts becoming a bit thick syrup like. Once the syrup is ready keep on low heat.

First mix together one and a half cup of dry milk, half cup flour, baking soda and 8 ounces of heavy whip cream and start making the dough (if the dough seems too watery you can add more dry milk) then make small balls not to big.

Once the balls are ready now take a pan heat some oil in it; then fry the balls on medium heat till they get a brown color. After you fry them let them cool down for some time but not too cool and is best to have the syrup ready.

Now soak the gulab jamun into the syrup until they plump up and become soft. Serve hot or cold with slices of almonds on the top garnish.
